It's that time of year to roll the windows down and let the wind blow through your hair and this song is perfect for that
2. Maroon 5 - Makes me wonder
As soon as I heard this song I envisioned it being remixed into a killer dance track...but even left as is, I dig it
3. Gym Class Heroes - Cupid's chokehold
This one took a minute, but it grew on me and I find myself...lada la da-ing right along
4. Avril Lavine - Girlfriend
The set up: I don't really care for Avril...she's just as pop as Britney and Christina ever were, but she's in denial about it and that makes it so much worse
The conclusion: WHY IS THIS SONG IN MY HEAD...and more importantly, why do I like it?
5. Mika - Grace Kelly
This song puts me in a good mood - plain and simple
6. Petula Clark - Downtown
Maybe it's because of the commercial. Maybe it's because it was predominantly featured on my favorite show. Who knows? But lately I've been humming this little tune
7. John Hyatt (and many others) - Have a little faith in me
This song in it's many covers and incarnations has an emotional effect on me. I just love it and I don't know why. Most recently I was reminded of it yet again by the trailers for that Drew Barrymore movie

...That are great about South Florida (without mentioning the weather)
1. The food. In Miami we ate at Barton G's. Best Salmon I've ever had and the presentation was amazing.
2. Beautiful People. And by people I mean the men. There was this huge imbalance of attractive men verses the women. I expected all the women to look like the girls on 8th and Ocean, they didn't. However gorgeous men were everywhere you looked.
3. We aren't as Midwest as we thought we were. Prior to going out to the clubs we worried that we wouldn't get in or have to wait for hours. Chicago, Detroit, Toronto...sure no problem. We are what I like to call "Great Lakes Hot" I guess. But could we cut it in South Beach?...absolutely. I refer you to item two. We cut to the front of the line no problem.
4. The "Southern Gentleman" is not a mythological creature like Nessie or the Easter Bunny. He is alive and well
5. Where were all the bugs? Central Florida has bugs. Is it the season? I don't know, but I'm not complaining.
6. Shopping. Or at least the thought of shopping. There were stores everywhere but we only went into one and I didn't buy anything. Which is probably for the best. Next time...I'm totally on it.
7. Architecture. What can I say. I like the art deco.

3. Obsessively reading other blogs Trying to figure out where I fit in the blogosphere
4. Planning a cruise
5. Buying a used treadmill
6. Planning to run a 5k (see number 5)
7. Starting a "seven things" blog in order to keep my blogging simple and therefore less daunting to keep up. Also enabling me to cover topics such as Tv, Beauty, and music in smaller scale as not to step on the toes of my blog-friends who totally have those topics covered.
