...present day

Every year for my parents anniversary my whole family does a gift exchange. Here are the highlights...

1. DVD's galore
Middle sis (MS) got my dad Magnum P.I., my mom The Oprah 20th anniversary DVD, and little sis (LS) a Bratz movie. MS herself received Gilmore Girls season 3 from LS (sponsored by my parents, she's 7) and season 5 of GG from me. And My parents got her a portable DVD player to watch them on :)

2. Take a Hike
My parents got me a kelty internal frame backpack for all my summer camping adventures

3. It's ALIVE
LS has taken a liking to a series of books about a little girl mad scientist named Franny K. Stein. So I bought her a boxed set of the books and a doll of the title character.

4. Game on
LS also got a few video games. Cars from MS and Walace and Gromit, and Pac Man World from my parents

5. Muzak
LS got me 2 CDs. Michael Buble who I'm only slightly familiar with but I like that style so I know I'll like it, and Joss Stone who I love.

6. G-L-A-M-OUS
MS got me a Sephora gift card. It's as good as spent.

7. Photo Op
My sisters and I went to Henry Ford Estate and took a ton of pictures. I took the 20 best, made them black and white photoshoped them up and put them in a photobook. My mom cried.

A Bratz movie? Is it... bratty? So are they the new Barbies?
Awesome about the backpack, but now watching you hike a mile into the woods in the UP won't be nearly as amusing. :)

I love both Buble and Joss. Both of their new CDs are on my playlists. Sounds like you'll have Gilmore Girl marathon pretty soon!

I'm kinda a big deal said...

Mow: You wouldn't have been so amused if I'd fallen into the canyon. I have a scar from that scrape.

tiff: Gilmore Girls is my next marathon project :)

I love the once a year family gift day. :-)
As for those Lumene capsules and break out prone skin--mine is about as breakout prone as a teenagers (still). I can't speak for the masses, but they haven't irritated my skin at all.
